Care Club
The Care Club meets twice each month on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday, from 10 AM to 3
PM. Their main task is to build quilts for Lutheran World Relief. Both hand and machine
sewing of quilts is needed. Participants bring their own lunches, or some work only
before or after lunch.Some of the work can be done at home.
Prayer Shawl Knitters
Participants knit or crochet prayer shawls in their own homes to be given to members
undergoing treatment of illness or surgery. Instructions and materials are provided.
Golden Oaks
The age 55+ group of members and friends who meet once a month for fellowship. Sometimes
a speaker and a lunch, sometimes an outing. No membership requirement. Volunteers
may help to arrange a speaker or plan an outing. See Sunday bulletins or Messenger

Circles
Women’s groups who usually meet monthly. Each Circle has unique interests and areas
where they serve the congregation. Some meet in homes, others in church meeting rooms.
Circles are available for both day time and evening attendees,
Prayer Chain
A calling tree to relay prayer requests to those who request participation. Usually
relayed to 2 -3 others.
Women of the ELCA
All women members of the congregation are automatically members of the ELCA women.
This group sponsors events 3 - 4 times each year. Watch the Sunday bulletin or Messenger
for details of events.
Parish Visitors
Visit members of the congregation who are unable to participate in the active life
of the congregation.
Orientation and training are provided to those who wish to become visitors.
